Congratulations to Donna Johnson for Achieving the 20/20 Club!

Meet Donna!

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Donna Johnson to the 20/20 Club! Donna tells us, "I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, but I’ve spent most of my adult years in Houston, Texas, and we currently live in Atlanta, GA. I’ve been married to my husband, Todd for almost 41 1/2 years. We have two daughters and three adorable granddaughters. Our children and our grandchildren are our pride and joy. We enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading and doing volunteer work helping others. My daughters and I all cook... so eating together and bonding over food is an ongoing passion in our family. Before I started working at the airlines, we traveled extensively. Now that we are a part of these two amazing companies, we will continue that passion in the coming months. Also, my mother is 89, so I treasure any opportunity to visit her in Ohio and spend time talking with her. There is no sweeter woman on this earth than my Mama.

"We love to travel. We’ve visited China several times, Japan, Guam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, England, Africa, Mexico, the Caribbean, and we've taken multiple wine trips around California. We also spent time looking for bears in Alaska and seeing the Northern Lights, while on a ministry trip - one of our favorite memories. We’ve sailed on yachts, cruises, safaris in Africa and stayed at private villas in a few locations. Some of those trips were with family-friends who also introduced me to this amazing opportunity, knowing our love for travel and a desire to do more of it. I will forever be grateful.  As you can imagine, those vacations were full of adventures and memories made to last a lifetime. I started working for the airlines a couple of years ago and now we hardly ever travel outside of the States.  Now we are looking forward to getting back into seeing more of this amazing earth in the coming months and taking my grandchildren around the world in the coming years, by way of this beautiful opportunity. We couldn’t be more excited.

"Success for me hasn’t come yet. I’m hungry, but it’s not the almighty dollar that I see as success. I’ve never defined the success of the people in my life by their bank accounts - it's how you treat others when no one is watching, and the integrity you carry when no one is looking or listening. True success is how well you treat people when you have nothing to gain. Choose kindness, genuinely care about helping others, lead with respect - that's real wealth...that's real success. Kindness may not pay your bills, but you'll always have true friends you can call up for dinner plans and great conversation.

"Marketing tip: Tell everyone - unapologetically, what you’re doing now. Ask your network how they feel about what you're doing. Then tell them how you feel about what you're doing and tell them why you feel that way. Just talk! Talk to your people, don’t sell. I'm not social media savvy yet, but I'm fearless. If you're savvy on social media - use it! That's a gift. Show personal interest. Be calm, but excited. Follow up and be considerate of their time, while explaining why you care enough about them to be persistent in getting this valuable information to them. Be patient.

"Some say I'm successful, that's a huge compliment. If we are talking about how long it took me to get to 20/20, I could have done it sooner, but I got in my own way. Initially, to be honest, I didn't plug in and didn't trust my upline to 'know' my people. Please - plug in. Trust your upline. Listen!!! Please! LISTEN when others are talking.  Read the suggested readings for your first year of network marketing. Read GoPro. Listen to GoPro….over and over again. It’s only three hours. You've gotta read to get your mind right. Read Servant Leadership. I read that years ago and it serves me well to this day. The systems are in place. Follow them. Learn a proper PS3. Listen to the IMVs and stay out of your way. Be determined. Know your network and give serious thought about what initially will appeal to and benefit them or their families in this opportunity. Get good at figuring out their first why. And don't prejudge. Your future business partners will all be surprises, and everyone you've predicted to run with it will disappoint you.

"Fun fact: Actually I have a few. Two of my cousins were in the singing group, The Temptations: Eddie Kendricks and Dennis Edwards. One was my mother’s second cousin and Dennis and my Daddy were first cousins. My whole family (including my husband) sings except me. Also, my son-in-law was a contestant on Master Chef and my oldest daughter (@jadeofalljades).... shameless plug - hosted a show at the Kennedy Center for fellow podcasters and actress Issa Rae."
