PlanNet Marketing congratulates Gina Goins Myers for achieving One-Star Director and 40/40 Club! Gina was born in Lumberton, NC and raised in Fayetteville, NC. She tells us, "I lived in an Army town, was in Air Force ROTC in high school and joined the Navy when I graduated. I currently reside in New Braunfels, TX with my husband, Akram, about 32 miles northeast of San Antonio. As a matter of fact, nine of my 20 years and ten months in the Navy were spent in the 'Lone Star' State of Texas. We have three sons: Cameron (27), Chad (24) and Christian (21). I am truly a country girl at heart. Family is everything to me. I grew up in a home with both parents and my younger brother by two years. My interests have changed over the years. I love spending time doing whatever it is that brings me peace. I am an outdoor person; I am fascinated with trees. I attended a Painting with a Twist event with my hubby and some dear friends; the theme was 'Love Trees.' The instructions were simple; start with a 'Y' formation and continue that through. Now I am always looking at the branches on trees and their 'Y' formation.
"Oddly enough, you would think as a U.S. Navy veteran I would have an extensive travel resume. Truth is the list is short. I had one overseas assignment my entire 20 years and 10 months career, but it was a good one. I was stationed in Rota, Spain from 1991-1994. I was able to attend the Expo '92 in Seville, Spain. It was phenomenal! I had the opportunity to visit Germany, the chocolate is downright mouthwatering. My one regret is that I did not take advantage of Eurailing. Shame to say travel was not my thing at that time.
"How I am achieving success is a great question. My answer sounds scripted but it’s the truth. Execute the play called by your coach(es). That’s it that’s all! You will save yourself so much time, angst and heartache. Achieving One-Star Director means so much to me. I have an incredibly talented and proven team of leaders that invested the most valuable commodity in me any of us have...TIME! Four-Star Director Damien Goins, Three-Star Director Marygail Harmon and the Dynamic Duo, Two-Star Directors Aaron and Cindy Storoy! I was set up for success, I just had to be coachable and consistently do the right things! When the student was ready the teachers appeared! I am woke and focused. Determined to help thousands of families to their birthright of generational wealth. I will also donate my civil service job back to the government in the next two years!
"When I first started with this business opportunity, I didn’t know what to expect but I was so excited. I met Mr. Donald Bradley after just three days into my business at an opportunity meeting in San Antonio. I remember after the presentation, my Three-Star Director Marygail Harmon (who was One-Star at the time) and Two Star Directors Aaron and Cindy Storoy (who were Gold Builders at that time) rallied our whole team, which was only a handful of us, and we ran towards Mr. Bradley. By the time we made it to him he was surrounded by what looked like the secret service. We had a quick photo op and I let him know I was brand new and so excited to be there. He told me I was in the 'right place at the right time.' He was right!
"The 2022 Breakthrough Convention changed my life. This was my second convention. My first was in 2021 at the Gaylord in where else…Texas! It was the experience of a lifetime but I did not want to go back to convention to sit in general population. The lines were long for everything from food, to just getting into the sessions. Directors had it made from no waiting in line to their own lounge. I peeked in…Mr. Bradley knows how to put on a spread. I knew I had to get access. That meant I had work to do. Fast forward 2022…I did not achieve my goal. Not going to convention was not an option. I needed to be there. I will never forget the sickening feeling in the pit of my stomach as I walked past the One-Star Directors. I didn’t earn a seat at the table. After convention a fire was lit. I was committed, focused, and then came 40 Days and 40 Nights. The set up for the come up. On January 29th I hit 40/40…and January 30th I reached One-Star Director! I’m on a mission to help more families!
"I don't know if I would say my success came quickly. I expected to achieve Directorship prior to Convention 2022 and I didn’t get it done. I joined PlanNet Marketing 01 Feb 2020. "A fun fact about me: The military loves to use acronyms. I realized after I retired, NAVY stands for: Never Again Volunteer Yourself! A qualification requirement for the Navy is that you must be a minimum of a class C swimmer. I didn’t learn how to swim until after I retired. I’m sworn to secrecy on how I passed that test. I never had one day of sea duty in 20 years of Naval service."
