PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Hajra Siraj to the 20/20 Club! Hajra tells us, "I’m a doctor based in London, UK. Outside of medicine, my passions include travelling, running, discovering new restaurants, sightseeing, and learning languages. I’ve always been curious about the world and love experiencing different cultures.
"Travel has been a defining part of my life. I’ve visited more than 50 countries, often travelling solo. Earlier in my career I worked internationally as a humanitarian doctor, supporting vulnerable communities including asylum seekers and people fleeing violence. Those experiences shaped how I view travel — not just as a holiday, but as a way to connect with people and understand cultures more deeply. Whenever I travel, I try to immerse myself in the local community.
"My journey with PlanNet Marketing began during a particularly challenging time. After undergoing a double mastectomy for breast cancer (December 2025), I spent a period largely bedbound during recovery. While physically limited, my mind remained active and inquisitive, and I began researching the travel industry and opportunities within it having spoken to a doctor colleague who recommended it. Discovering PlanNet allowed me to channel my energy into something positive and forward-looking, even during intensive and very painful treatment.
"My approach to building the business has been simple and authentic. I genuinely believe in the opportunity, so I share it naturally with people in my network who may benefit from greater freedom, flexibility, and the chance to build something of their own alongside their existing careers.
"A personal part of my story is that I am currently undergoing treatment for an aggressive and advanced breast cancer. I was diagnosed unexpectedly at the age of 37 (last year), which meant going from doctor to patient overnight. Since April 2025 I have undergone chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and a double mastectomy, and I remain in active treatment.
"Because of this, I haven’t been able to travel abroad during this time. However, the experience has reinforced my belief that healing is holistic. Rest, travel, and a change of environment can be incredibly powerful for both physical and mental wellbeing, when medically safe. Helping others plan meaningful trips during this time has only strengthened my love for travel, and I’m very much looking forward to my own restorative journey once treatment is complete.
"Fun fact: despite travelling to over 50 countries, my list of places I’d still love to explore keeps growing!"
