Congratulations to Shimeka Williams for Achieving the 20/20 Club!

Meet Shimeka!

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Shimeka Williams to the 20/20 Club! Shimeka tells us, "I am originally from Hoboken, New Jersey and currently live in Williamstown, New Jersey with my husband, our five amazing children, and my mom, who I have the honor of caring for. Family is at the center of everything I do and is a huge part of my why in both life and business.

"I am honestly a geek at heart. I love all things tech and could spend hours talking about systems, strategy, and figuring things out. Outside of that, I absolutely love to travel, read, and interior design. More than anything though, I have always had a heart for helping people. I enjoy helping people see possibilities in themselves that they may not see yet, whether that is through entrepreneurship or just encouraging them to think differently about what is possible for their lives. I have always been someone who chooses to see the cup half full, and I try to bring that energy into everything I do.

"My real travel journey started when I took my daughter, who is now getting ready to turn 13, to Puerto Rico for two weeks for her third birthday. That trip changed something in me. Once I got bit by the travel bug, there was no turning back. Since then, I have had the opportunity to travel to different places with my family and create memories that I will hold onto forever. Travel became so much more than taking a vacation. For me, it became about experiences, connection, perspective, and creating moments with the people I love.

"For me, success has come from keeping things simple and remembering that small progress is still progress. I try not to get caught up in how far I have to go and instead focus on continuing to move forward. I share my story, stay visible, serve people well, and lead with authenticity. I do not believe in convincing people. I believe in showing people what is possible and allowing them to decide what aligns with their goals.

"One of the biggest things I have learned is how important it is to stay connected and remain coachable. Having a coach or mentor who is already where you are trying to go and has done what you want to do is invaluable. It is easy to get distracted in this business, so staying plugged in, learning, and being open to guidance has made all the difference for me.

"I think people connect with real people. I fell in love with this business from day one and focused on staying in action while keeping my vision bigger than my excuses. I invited people into my journey instead of waiting until everything looked perfect.

"I stayed open to learning, leaned into mentorship, and kept showing up even when I did not have all the answers. My goal was never just income. It was creating options, building legacy, helping my family experience more of life, and bringing other families along with me.

"Fun fact: I absolutely love Claire Huxtable. Growing up, she made me want to become an attorney. I admired how intelligent, elegant, confident, and family centered she was. When I started going down that path though, I realized it felt a little too black and white for me creatively, and I eventually found my home in the IT world instead. To this day, I still love everything she represented and the standard she set for showing that women can be successful, brilliant, and still lead with love and family."
