PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Waheedat Owodeyi to the 20/20 Club! Waheedat tells us, "I was born in Nigeria and moved to the UK in 2004. I now live in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, with my two teenage daughters. Alongside building my travel business, I also run my own online pharmacy.
"I have always loved to travel, starting back in my university days in Nigeria when I explored different parts of the country. I also enjoy nature and feel fortunate to live near the sea, where I often sit on the beach to listen to the waves or watch the sunset. Cooking and good food are also passions of mine.
"Since joining the travel business, I have visited nearly 15 countries. It has been an amazing journey—learning about new cultures and experiencing the kindness of strangers along the way. One memorable moment was in Morocco, when my phone battery went flat. I walked into a small kebab shop, and not only did they let me charge my phone, but they also gave me directions back to my apartment. My greatest joy, however, is seeing my daughters relate our travel experiences to their peers—something I believe they will cherish for years to come.
"My biggest tip is consistency. Don’t wait for perfection—just start. Do your DMOs: say hi, send a wave, drop an emoji, and begin the conversation. Even if someone says 'no,' handle the objection and ask for a referral. Stay connected to the team, build positive energy, and keep moving forward. Personally, I stopped listening to the news to create more positivity in my life—and it has made a big difference.
"I was the youngest in my university year group and was known as a 'bookworm.' Today, I run multiple businesses—proof that believing in yourself and stepping out of your comfort zone can truly change your life."
