Meet 20/20 Club Member Onyekachi Simon Kanu!

PlanNet Marketing welcomes Onyekachi Simon Kanu to the 20/20 Club! He tells us, "My name is Kachi and I am a full-time General Practitioner (Consultant Family Physician) in the National Health Service (NHS), UK. I was born and grew up in Nigeria, but currently live in Rugby, West Midlands, UK. I have always wanted to be a doctor, and obtained my initial medical qualification in Nigeria. After a few years of medical practice, I moved to the UK with my family for post-graduate studies. Following my achievement of a Masters in Public Health, I went on to complete all my UK medical licensing and registration exams, and further completed specialty training in General Practice and have been working as a GP since then. I am blessed with a loving wife and three amazing children.

I love to travel, but have not been able to do much of that due to work and other commitments, until I discovered this opportunity four months ago. Now I am determined to travel more with my family, seeing and experiencing some amazing places, and to help many medical professionals do the same. I have already booked a couple of holidays to Greece and Dubai, with more to come. Cape Town, South Africa remains one of my best travel memories. Visiting the Table Mountain was an amazing experience, and the view from up there – breathtaking. Other highlights were the penguin colony of Boulders Beach, and Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years imprisoned before later becoming the President of South Africa; this was an emotional day, going to see his prison cell. And I visited loads of other amazing places.

How I have achieved success quickly is first by having an understanding that my own success is primarily in my hands and my responsibility, and not having a feeling of entitlement, waiting for someone to do the work for me. Secondly, staying consistent with result-producing activities, educating myself daily and sharing this opportunity with others with passion and conviction. Ultimately, committing everything into God’s hands, knowing that without Him, I can do nothing, while resting in the assurance that with him ALL things are possible.

My top tips would be: acquire the necessary knowledge of your products, keep learning, remain consistent in learning and working, and be patient. Don’t give up too soon. With the right attitude, work ethic, and consistency – the results will come.

Fun facts about me: I play the bass guitar in a church worship band, and am always in my element when on the instrument. I also love to play football and table tennis… although I have not managed to make it into any big football clubs, lol.
