George tells us, "From Little Rock, Arkansas, I attended higher education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) and graduated cum laude in Mechanical Engineering. I moved to Washington, DC and worked in the public sector for over 40 years and then retired 9 years ago. I married Angela Thomas, originally of Washington, DC and started my travel business, Wonderful Excursions Travel, where I specialized in cruises and land-based vacations. I moved to Florida over a year ago for the warm weather and endless bodies of water to launch my boat.
"My interests are mainly traveling and fishing. I enjoy freshwater fishing, as well as deep saltwater fishing. I’ve always had a love of travel, even before getting into the travel business. However, after joining this business, I have traveled extensively. My wife and I have visited most of the Caribbean islands, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. We’ve traveled to Brazil, Costa Rica, India, and Dubai with a few stops in between. I have been to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria to ski. At this point in my life, I’m more interested in gathering memories than things. I cannot remember half the things I purchased this year. But I will never forget ziplining with my wife in Costa Rica, dancing to the beat of steel drums in Brazil, or lying on the beaches of Oahu and Maui.

My Director, Nakia, has encouraged and inspired me to temporarily come out of retirement to help others achieve their dreams and leave a legacy for the next generation.
