Nicola tells us, "I was born just outside London in Surrey, but have lived in Salisbury in the southwest of England for 17 years now! I love being social, singing, hiking, wild swimming, and of course I LOVE to get away from it all every once on a while!
"I have to say that of my travel experiences, my favourites are British Colombia for its stunning scenery, and camping in the Rockies is an unforgettable experience! Also Ypres in Belgium just for the pure history! I traveled solo to Moraira in Spain and met up with friends too which was amazing, fun and fabulous for pushing me out of my comfort zone. I'm also a HUGE advocate of Staycations and have spent a lot of time in Scotland over the years!
"I think that my love of making true connections through networking has played a key role in my success so far. When we first start out, it's easy to just want anyone and everyone to join our team, but I quickly learned that if I wanted to build a quality team I had to find quality people who I could really connect with. This has definitely helped me to retain my team and makes mentoring them so much fun! Also, don't be afraid to 'up-recruit' because that changed the game for me completely!
"My biggest tip would be to stay close to the fire! Get around the people who are achieving, get involved, and do what they do! Also, resilience is absolutely key so when you feel like it's not going to happen, just stick with it because if you're doing the work IT WILL COME!!
"A fun fact about me is that I once shaved my head to raise money for a cancer charity and roped in 24 others to donate hair too! We donated a total of 412 inches of hair to make wigs for children who have lost their hair through illness, and over £4000 to Cancer Research UK."
