The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Andrea Kane

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born in London, United Kingdom but my background is Greek Cypriot. I know live in County Wicklow, Ireland with my husband and 3 boys. I spend my days running around after them but fitting in the gym and pilates is a non-negotiable! I left university with a psychology degree, but pursued a career in the field of event management.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet Marketing, I’ve experienced incredible personal growth not just in business, but in mindset and confidence. I’ve learnt how to push past fear and speak up. I lost myself after having my boys, so finding this business for me was truly a life saver and I discovered just how capable I really am. Being surrounded by a supportive community has helped me believe in myself on a new level, and it’s been empowering to not only grow personally, but to help others do the same.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
What drives me is the desire to create a life of freedom and purpose for myself and for my family. I thought I was just meant to live a life as a mum and that would be it. I’m motivated by the opportunity to build something meaningful that not only impacts my kids' future but also inspires others to go after their dreams. I want my kids to grow up seeing what’s possible when you work hard, stay consistent, and lead with passion. Knowing that I can help others change their lives while growing into the best version of myself keeps me going every day.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My dad is someone I deeply admire and consider a true role model. He’s always led by example, showing me the value of hard work, integrity, and perseverance. No matter what challenges he faced, he stayed committed to his responsibilities and kept a positive attitude. My mum has also taught me the importance of doing your best, treating people with respect and not giving up.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Passionate, driven and empathetic.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
My advice would be: Don’t wait until you feel 100% ready, start scared, start small, but just start. Growth and confidence come from taking action, not from waiting for the perfect moment. Believe in yourself, stay consistent even when it feels slow, and surround yourself with people who lift you higher.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I see myself living a life of freedom, lots of travel and having secured an income to pass onto my children. I hope to be running a thriving business that allows me to impact others while still being fully present for my family. I hope to be traveling more, creating memories, and living life on our own terms. Personally, I hope to have grown into a stronger, more confident version of myself, and I’m helping other women do the same, especially moms who want more for their families without sacrificing themselves in the process.
