The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Aoibhe Devlin

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I am 36, turning 37 shortly, and I am originally from Ireland. I was born in Drogheda, Co. Louth, and raised in Balbriggan, North County Dublin. I am a proud single mother to two wonderful children — a son and a daughter — who are my greatest motivation. My parents are Hugh and Geraldine, and I have one brother, Hugh. From a business perspective, I have recently surpassed 200 agents and am currently working toward Two-Star Director. I achieved the Fireball Award in 9 days and the Impact Award in 23 days. Since joining PlanNet, I have been able to reduce my primary job to part-time, allowing me to spend significantly more time at home with my children, which has been life-changing. I am extremely proud of the community I am building and the positive impact this business is having on so many people. I am deeply committed to the business and very passionate about its potential. I have committed to running the New York Half Marathon this December, which will be a major personal focus for me in 2026.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet, I have developed strong leadership skills and greater self-belief. I have learned how to build and lead a team effectively and have gained confidence in my ability to achieve meaningful goals. The business has strengthened my mindset and resilience. While public speaking is still an area I am actively developing, it continues to push me beyond my comfort zone, and my goal is to feel fully confident on stage by the end of 2026.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My children are my primary motivation. As the sole income earner in my household, I am driven to create security, opportunity, and memorable experiences for them. I am grateful to have been able to provide for my family as a single mother for the past six years. Travel is especially important to us, and being able to explore the world with my children is one of my greatest joys.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I don’t identify with one specific role model. I prefer to stay focused on my own path and personal growth rather than comparing myself to others. I admire many people for their achievements and qualities, but I concentrate on continuous self-improvement and building my own journey.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Ambitious, driven and adventurous.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Don’t let the opinions of others stop you from dreaming big. Don’t let fear take over. You do you and whatever makes you happy, you do just that. We can do everything we put our minds to and if you want something that badly, you’ll do anything to make it happen.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Five years from now, I see a life that is hopefully more peaceful. I hope to be happy across all areas of my life, with my children healthy and thriving. I plan to own my home, drive my dream car, and live a life that once felt out of reach when I first joined this business in 2024. I look forward to having taken my children to their dream destinations, including Hawaii and the Maldives, and returning to Australia — where I lived in my twenties — to share that experience with them. Most importantly, I know I will be grateful that I took the risk and believed in myself and never gave up.
