1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights?
I was born and raised in Florence, SC. I currently live in Atlanta, GA. I am a Mom of two daughters and two bonus daughters and a bonus son. I am married to Kevin Durant (the real one, not that basketball guy). I love to cook, spend time with my family and read.
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I am a VP of HR and even spent time as an adjunct professor for two years, and the knowledge that I gain every time I am in a leadership room gives me a nugget that not only builds my PlanNet team but that I also use for my team of HR Directors and the executives of my organization. People don’t realize the nuggets they are being given that we pay thousands for in corporate America.
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My family. I have struggled financially in the past and I refuse to be back in that space ever again. My family deserves better.
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My mom. She is committed, kind and caring. I only wish to come close to the amazing woman she is.
5. The three words that describe me best are:
Focused, engaging, and dedicated.
6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Daily, I end jobs and careers. Worst part of my job. You own a vehicle that has proven to make millionaires. Why not utilize it? It doesn't matter how well off you are. Nothing beats wealthy.
7. What does your life look like five years from now?
I will be wearing a ring. I will have built a team of proven and successful leaders.
