1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
My name is Joanna Duhig, a wife and mummy to two children, Thomas and Callie ages 10 and 6. I live in Brentwood, Essex and I am currently a part-time primary teacher. I love to travel the world with my husband and our children and I jump at the chance to experience every new adventure.
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet, I’ve grown both personally and professionally. I’ve gained confidence, especially in stepping into leadership roles and guiding others. One of the most rewarding aspects has been learning how to lead a team effectively — not just by setting goals, but by supporting, teaching, and inspiring others to reach their full potential. Sharing my skills and knowledge to help others succeed has been incredibly fulfilling, and it’s pushed me to continue developing myself as well.
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
I’m driven by the desire to show my children the world—not just geographically, but through experiences, cultures, and perspectives that shape who they become. I want to give them a life filled with wonder, learning, and freedom.
At the same time, I’m motivated by the freedom to work on my own terms. To have the chance to make my own choices.
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My mum is a role model to me, she has always been a girl boss in her own right! Leading in her business role, running the house, being there for us in everything and anything! She has supported every single thing I’ve done and is my biggest cheerleader.
5. The three words that describe me best are:
Energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious.
6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
 - Stay consistent. The small things you do daily matter more than the big things you do occasionally. Show up, even when it’s tough.

- Don’t give up. Success doesn’t happen overnight. Stay patient, stay focused, and trust the process.

- Stay positive. Your mindset is everything. Keep your energy high, even when the results are slow. Positivity attracts possibility.

- Lead by example. Be the person others want to follow. Show integrity, stay coachable, and do the work.

- Be kind. Relationships are everything in this business. Treat people with respect and empathy—it always comes back around.

- Be ambitious. Dream big. Set bold goals. Believe you’re capable of more—because you are.
7. What does your life look like five years from now?
I see a happy, healthy family at the heart of it all, growing together, laughing often, and making memories.
There’s more adventure, more exploring new places, trying new things, and saying “yes” to experiences that light us up.
I’ve created more time freedom, the kind that lets me design my days around what truly matters, with space for both work and downtime.
Most of all, I see a life filled with happiness, balance, and fun.
