The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Khadijah Qureshi

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born and raised in Surrey, UK, and now live in Woking with my husband and our two young children, who are six and four years old.

Before joining PlanNet, I built my career in the corporate world, working in advertising sales and marketing for a major publishing company. Although I enjoyed the fast-paced environment, I felt called to make a difference in a different way, so I retrained as a primary school teacher and had the privilege of teaching in both the UK and the UAE.

Each chapter of my career has taught me valuable skills - from communication and leadership to resilience and adaptability - and those experiences have shaped the person and leader I am today.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
After taking a career break to raise my children, joining PlanNet helped me rediscover who Khadijah is beyond being a full-time mum. It gave me back my confidence, reignited my ambition, and reminded me that it’s never too late to build something meaningful for yourself.

I’ve grown tremendously in self-belief, leadership, and resilience. PlanNet has given me the opportunity to create a new direction for my life - one where I can build a business that creates opportunities for my family while still being fully present for the moments that matter most. For me, that’s what true success looks like.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Without question, my children and my family are my greatest motivation. Every decision I make and every goal I pursue is with them in mind. I want to create a life where they see what’s possible through hard work, courage, and consistency.

I’m driven by the freedom to be present with my family while building something that can have a lasting impact - not just for us, but for the people I have the privilege of mentoring and supporting along the way.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
Without a doubt, my late father will always be my greatest role model. He was an astute businessman with an incredible work ethic and an entrepreneurial mindset. He wasn’t afraid to take calculated risks, and he taught us that if you believe in something, you should give it everything you’ve got.

More importantly, he taught us to stand on our own two feet, to be independent, and to never let fear stop us from pursuing our goals. His belief in hard work, integrity, and resilience continues to influence how I lead my life and my business today. I hope I’m making him proud.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Positive. Driven. Energetic.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Back yourself.

So often, the only thing standing between us and the life we want is our own self-doubt. Don’t wait until you feel ready or until everything is perfect - because that moment rarely comes.

Trust yourself, be willing to take the first step, and keep showing up even when it’s uncomfortable. Confidence isn’t something you’re born with; it’s something you build by taking action. The opportunities that change your life are often on the other side of the risks you’re afraid to take.

7.  What does your life look like five years from now?
In five years’ time, I see myself leading an organisation of several thousand representatives, inspiring an incredible community of people who are building lives on their own terms rather than being tied to the traditional 9-to-5.

Personally, my dream is for our family to transition from home educating to world schooling, giving our children the opportunity to learn through travel, different cultures, and real-life experiences. Most importantly, I want to have created a business that gives us freedom - freedom of time, freedom of choice, and the ability to help others create that same possibility for themselves.
