The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Lauren Fetherolf

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born and raised in Wellston, Ohio. I still currently reside in Wellston, but I am in the process of building a home in Lancaster, Ohio. I have been married to my husband, Shawn, for nine years. We have two dogs – Bengal and Buckeye. We are huge sports fans! We have season tickets to the Bengals and sometimes travel to the away games! I always say my dog, Bengal, is our living and breathing proof we aren’t band wagoners because he is seven! Who Dey! Other hobbies include of course traveling. That is what caught my attention with this business! I try to travel every single month.

I currently also work for a managed Medicaid plan in Ohio. I have my Master’s in Healthcare Administration and my current role at the health plan is Senior Provider Engagement Manager. I work with providers to ensure that they are completing health metrics with Medicaid patients and hitting targets for their value based incentive programs! Healthcare is something that I am also passionate about and helping people navigate such a complex system. I have worked in healthcare nearly my whole career.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I have personally become a stronger leader since joining PlanNet. I am able to apply my education background in management and business development to really grow my network here. My team are superstars! I always knew I was going to be a leader somewhere. I never imagined it would be my own business. Super thankful!

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
The biggest thing that motivates me is watching other people succeed. I think it’s so awesome that we can help others succeed and it also benefits our whole organization. I love making team rank up pictures to share! It fulfills me as their leader to know that my guidance is changing lives!

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I don’t have a role model. I consider myself to be very innovative and I enjoy finding my own ways to make operations work more efficiently.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Innovative, intelligent, and hilarious.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Don’t get discouraged if you're not moving along in your business as fast as someone else. We are all on our own journey and everything will happen with time. Never take your foot off the gas!

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Retired and $0 debt!!! That new house PAID FOR! 🎉
