The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Lin Sherlock

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born in the UK and brought up in East Sussex. I am married to Gray and we live overlooking the beach where we married! We are renovating a 1920s property and looking forward to completing that this year. We love to travel and we also enjoy spending time with family and friends and working on our businesses. Prior to joining PlanNet, I worked in a senior management role for a large American retailer in their European division.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I have developed in so many ways! Being more confident in my abilities, patience, my mindset and my circle. There is so much truth in the phrase "you vibe with your tribe." Meeting people who want you to succeed, who aren’t in competition with you but running alongside you, is so refreshing and corporate life could learn a lot from network marketing about how to build effective and efficient teams.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Such a simple question that is so complex. Many things drive me but I guess the biggest thing is me and how I feel about myself. What legacy I want to leave behind, how I want my life to be whilst I’m here living this one life I have. Obviously, financially I want to live the life I’ve always dreamed of, but it goes far deeper than that as I want my team to have that too.

Helping others to succeed motivates me. The joy you feel when you see someone you’ve helped growing in confidence is utterly priceless.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
There are so many role models in our business, all bringing their uniqueness to the party, but my biggest role model is my upline, Four-Star Director Lyndsey Gynane. She is everything a leader should be and I couldn’t have more support from her. She leads from the front and drives you to be better, and I try to emulate those qualities within my team. We have become incredibly good friends and I am so grateful to her for showing me the life I could have when I didn’t believe it myself.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Consistent, Kind, Authentic.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Believe in yourself. Don’t let the fear of failure hold you back. What’s the worst that can happen if you fail? You try again! You, and the life you want, are worth fighting for.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
I will be travelling more and continuing to enjoy my life with Gray. We will have the financial and time freedom we are working towards.
