The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Lisa Campbell

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I am originally from Liverpool and now live in Runcorn, Cheshire, in the UK with my 2 daughters Billie (15) and Blake (10).

I am a Hairdresser by trade and owned salons for 13 years. From the age of 22 I had my own business and got my most recent salon in November 2019. I invested £40,000 into the business only for us to hit a pandemic and lockdown in the UK in March 2020 which forced the doors of the salon to close.

With £3,000 monthly overheads that still needed to be paid and children to feed, I needed to look for other ways to earn an income from home. That is where I found the world of Network Marketing, fell in love with the industry and hung up the hairdressing scissors for good.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I didn’t start with PlanNet until March 2024 after watching for over a year. It soon came impossible to ignore. Saying it’s the best decision I have ever made would be an understatement. I have a newfound confidence in myself personally and in business. All around I am happier and more content with a feeling of being at home, and that fuels my leadership.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
My children are and will always be my biggest motivation. As a single parent I have known what it is like to struggle financially. And as a mother I have a responsibility to show my daughters that women can also create their own success and achieve whatever they put their mind to.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
After watching Leah Lockett for over a year, I admired how hyper focused she was to succeed. It was Leah who made the opportunity an offer I could not refuse. And she is an amazing coach and role model to not only myself but everyone in the business. Her confidence, passion and ambition is something to be respected.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Resilient, Determined and Altruistic.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
My advice to give to others would be to LISTEN. Listen to the problem and offer a solution to your prospects. Listen to the needs of your team and help guide them in the right direction. Listen to your own needs, because you can’t pour from an empty cup.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
My life in 5 years' time will be full of pride. I know this business will continue to create more time and financial freedom. And as my children will be of an age where they are about to leave school and start their own journeys into adulthood, I will make that transition as easy as possible for them, setting them up for life through generational wealth.
