The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Louise Gatland

1.‌ ‌Where‌ ‌were‌ ‌you‌ ‌born‌ ‌and‌ ‌raised;‌ ‌current‌ ‌city;‌ ‌family;‌ ‌hobbies;‌ ‌past‌ ‌business‌ ‌highlights.‌ ‌
I was born in a small town in Scotland and lived there until I was 7, we then moved to Hampshire, England where I have lived ever since. I have an amazing husband and three children: Cameron (15), Libby (13) and Adam (10). I am still a massive introvert but enjoy travelling and spending time with my family. I enjoy traveling with my daughter to her cheerleading competitions. My past business highlights are all of them; yes, even the hard times, as the hard times grew me, I actually read my old Leadership Spotlight that I wrote in June 2018 when I was a One-Star Director.  Everything on my five-year vision has been ticked off in less than five years – this for me was an incredible highlight.

2.‌ ‌How‌ ‌have‌ ‌you‌ ‌grown‌ ‌or‌ ‌personally‌ ‌developed‌ ‌since‌ ‌joining‌ ‌PlanNet?‌ ‌
The Louise Gatland that joined the business nearly five years ago is not the same person I am today.  I learnt early on that I had quite a toxic relationship with myself: self doubt, didn't believe in myself, no confidence, the list goes on. I have embraced the personal development journey and allowed myself to be coachable. What I have noticed is that no matter what, if you can work on your own personal development every single day, your life will change for the better.

My first time on stage – well let’s just say it was not the best, but I had two choices: stop growing and developing and stay as I was or keep pushing myself to do more and therefore improve. The public speaking situation – I am still not anywhere near where I would like to be, but I am working on this all the time and improving as I go.

3.‌ ‌What‌ ‌drives‌ ‌you;‌ ‌what‌ ‌motivates‌ ‌you?‌
My original drive was saving Christmas for my children, then it went on to proving people wrong. My drive now is to help others see that they can do it, too.

What motivates me strangely is "fear" – fear of going back to who I once was, back to working in education again, back to not believing in myself again. This motivates me daily to keep pushing through any obstacle that comes my way.

4.‌ ‌Who‌ ‌would‌ ‌you‌ ‌consider‌ ‌a‌ ‌role‌ ‌model‌ ‌and‌ ‌why?‌ ‌
I don't have any one person as a role model, my parents taught me to follow my heart and be happy. I have watched them work hard for years and now live a blissful life in Spain. I I can be half of what they are, then I'm winning. Our leaders inspire me on a regular basis and I'm grateful for each of them.

5.‌ ‌The‌ ‌three‌ ‌words‌ ‌that‌ ‌describe‌ ‌me‌ ‌best‌ ‌are:‌ ‌
Coachable, determined and resilient.

6.‌  ‌If‌ ‌you‌ ‌had‌ ‌some‌ ‌sound‌ ‌advice‌ ‌to‌ ‌give‌ ‌to‌ ‌anyone‌ ‌what‌ ‌would‌ ‌it‌ ‌be?‌ ‌
Set your own goal, create a plan and stay in your own lane, compete but don't compare and embrace your journey; you grow through what you go through. I always thought the goal was going to be the best thing ever, but in reality, the journey that took you to the goal is by far greater.

7.‌ ‌What ‌does‌ ‌your‌ ‌life‌ ‌look‌ ‌like‌ ‌five‌ ‌years‌ ‌from‌ ‌now?‌ ‌
In five years’ time, March 2027, I will still be very much focused on building my PlanNet Marketing business.

We will be living by the coast and also own our holiday home in Spain.

I will be confidently talking on stage and my business will be going from strength to strength.

I will have multiple six-figure income earners within my organisation and we will be changing one family's life at a time.

My children will be happy and healthy and my two older children will be travelling and living their best lives.

My name will proudly be on Mr Bradley's million dollar income earner plaque
