The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Natasha Biggs

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born and raised in a small seaside town called Redcar in the northeast of England. I am an only child to my mum, but have a half brother and sister on my dad's side. My mum is my biggest rock, and constantly pushing and supporting me throughout this business. I will make her proud. My hobbies would be snowboarding, anything outdoors and travelling to different parts of the world to experience different cultures.

My top business highlight would be when I hit Directorship. I remember it like it was yesterday, it was completely life-changing. Also, when I received my Director jacket and had to speak to a room of 500 people, I was probably the most scared I have ever been in my life, but also felt the most empowering version of myself at the same time. Meeting Mr Donald Bradley was so inspiring too, the guy who’s made all this happen for me. I am and will be forever grateful.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
My mindset has grown tremendously from being part of this business where we all strive to be the best versions of ourselves, constantly overcoming limiting beliefs. My mindset in the last few years has just become stronger and stronger as time goes on. We all in some way have our own personal setbacks, but honestly the resilience I have discovered within myself is phenomenal. This may not have ever been the case if I wasn’t part of such a community like ours. The people and the constant support throughout the teams who are always encouraging us to work on ourselves and self-development is just incredible. Working on your personal development is essential when you are wanting to level up in your life or business; it helps you become a better leader and influence others to do the same.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
You are never going to be always motivated, but I can say I sure am disciplined. Discipline is what will separate you from the rest. Every time I have a bad day, or just not feeling like I want to do anything, I remember why I started. If I have come this far, why would I stop now? Why would I let myself down? I constantly think about my future self and what she would be proud of if I keep going. Focus on the long-term result.

My mum is my why and drive. She deserves so much more from life, and I want to be able to cater to giving her more. I want to make things possible and take her around to destinations she only ever dreamt of. My mum has always gone above and beyond to look after everyone else but herself. It’s time for me to take care of her.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
Again, my mum is my role model. Watching my mum go from strength to strength throughout her life after going through some horrendous life events. She is always going above and beyond to make people feel special in every way, and just has a heart of gold. I am grateful to have such a woman in my life I can look up to and learn from.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Positive, determined, supportive.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Stop letting other people's opinions change your mind on trying new things! So many of us stop working towards our goals purely because someone may have a negative opinion about it. Other people’s opinions do not pay your bills. Trust why you started and block out the noise.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
I will tick off more of my travel bucket list. Will have created more financial freedom. Bought my first home and helped hundreds, and hoping thousands more benefit from this business with more of my team hitting incredible milestones.
