The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Nisha Whineray

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born and raised in Southampton, UK and although I have lived all over the UK, I am now settled back down here with a family of my own. I am really into keeping fit and strong, so I love to do weightlifting, aerial hoop and pole. My daughter is about to turn three and she is the reason I started my business. I was made redundant during lockdown whilst on maternity leave and I quickly saw how much this business could change our lives. I manifested to hit Directorship on my birthday in 2022 and I got my 100th business partner on my birthday! I still get goosebumps thinking about it.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
So much. My mindset has improved in spades – I'm a much more positive person, I stay away from drama and I have learned to be consistent in all areas of my life. My confidence has increased so much, I rarely suffer from social anxiety anymore. I am also a confident speaker now as I have been given the chance to host calls for hundreds of people! Something I never thought I would be able to do.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
A few things drive me, but mostly it's to provide security for my family, give us more time together and to be able to live a truly fulfilled life. I want my daughter to be able to travel the world and for me and my husband not to be held back by how much annual leave we are allowed to take from our jobs!

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
My parents. Their work ethic is second to none and they have shown me that hard work is always worth it in the end. They both came to the UK without a penny to their names and were able to work, save money and buy a house. They are now mortgage free and I never wanted for anything growing up.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Loyal, caring and ambitious.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Dream big, drown out the noise and surround yourself with people who love and support you. Take small, daily, consistent action and stay focussed on your goals.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
My husband and I live in a bigger house and I have a beautiful office. Neither of us work for anyone, we travel often with our daughter and have plenty of time for our hobbies. We have a holiday home too and often fly our closest friends and family out to stay there.
