The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: One-Star Director Katie Bailes

1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born and raised in a small town in the the northeast of England called Middlesbrough, and have a fur baby called Jerry. My background is in forensic science, and my previous employment was in medical research.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I joined the business in April 2020 after losing my job in the March. I had been told by people throughout life that I was useless, worthless, and would NEVER achieve anything in life; so when I lost my job (due to Covid), it just reaffirmed everything that those people had ever said. When I came across this business, I was incredibly skeptical, and in all honesty, I only joined because of the 30-day money back guarantee. In the nearly three years I've been in the business, my confidence has grown massively; I was incredibly shy and introverted, I didn't like speaking to people, and I was happy hiding at the back of the room. I never expected to be the person on the stage, speaking to others, hosting trainings on Zoom for the team.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
This business has been LIFE CHANGING for myself, and I want to share this opportunity with as many people as possible, as I KNOW it can change their lives too.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
Within this business we have some amazing leaders – Tracey Dillon, Louise Gatland, Cindy Bruggeman and J.P Watkins-Mukes – on paper, I shouldn't succeed at this business; but those incredible ladies saw something in me, reached down after my upline left the business, and guided and mentored me to get where I am now. For that, I will be forever grateful.

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Loyal, determined, and hard working.

6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would‌ it be?
Those early days will be tough. You will doing a lot of work for very little return – keep going. All that hard work WILL pay off if you consistently put the effort in.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Still helping as many families as possible achieve their time and financial goals. Personally, I have my spot picked out on Mr. Bradley's millionaires plaque – whether that will happen within the next 5 years or not – it WILL happen!
