The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Rebecca Sonuga
1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born in London and raised in Manchester UK where I am currently located. I live with my partner, Marcus, and daughter, Halle, who is almost five! I love to travel, eat out, read and go for long walks in nature. My background is in corporate sales in a senior leadership role, which I recently left to work my PlanNet Marketing business full-time.
2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
I have always loved personal development and thought I was doing very well in life before I stumbled across this opportunity. I then realised that I was playing small and had much more potential than I had originally thought. PlanNet Marketing has taught me that there is no ceiling to success. I have also learned to love public speaking, which I was always petrified to do until now, along with the courage to be my true authentic self, something that I didn't feel like I could be when working in the corporate world.
3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Continuous progression, improving my circumstances, time and financial freedom and family.
4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
I find it challenging to narrow this down to just one. I like to follow entrepreneurial people on social media. I tap into their content, books and invest in their training. Many of my role models don't know I exist. However, I'm looking forward to introducing myself to them one day.
5. The three words that describe me best are:
Resilient, trustworthy, and driven.
6. If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
To think bigger and take the action required to get to where you want to be. Level up in every way possible and be the best, happiest, most successful version of you.
7. What does your life look like five years from now?
Not only will I have the time freedom which I'm experiencing now, I will have true financial freedom and will have helped thousands of people do the same. I will have moved to my dream neighbourhood. I'll be a mother of two and traveling the world.
