The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Three-Star Director Tisha DeShields

1. Personal: Where were you born and raised; current city; family; hobbies; past business highlights....
I come from VERY humble beginnings. I was born in Cambridge, Maryland and raised in Seaford, Delaware. I currently live in Atlanta, Georgia. I am a mother of four biological children, Glam'ma to two granddaughters and I'm "Momma Tish" to many. I am a member of the 60/60 Club, Founding Three-Star Director and a Travel Ambassador.

2. How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Sometimes women, especially single women, have fallen into the trap of being "All things to Everybody." I have been one of those women who've boldly worn the "S" on my chest, only to realize that sometimes Superwoman needs help. This business has taught me how to leverage the simple systems that are in place and to leverage the leadership so I don't have to feel the immense pressure of having to do it all. That, in itself, is refreshing. As a traditional business owner, in most cases, you simply have to "FIGURE IT OUT" and that can be very costly, especially if there isn't a proven success system in place. I now know and embrace the mantra that "Many hands make a heavy load light" because at the end of the day, we were created to be dependent upon one another and not independent of one another.

3. What drives you; what motivates you?
Being happy, self-mastery, growth in every area of my life, and leaving a positive imprint on everyone attached to me.

4. Who would you consider a role model and why?
A role model is someone who you can look up to and aspire to be like. They can provide guidance, inspiration, and hope. In a world where it’s easy to feel lost, a role model can be a much-needed anchor. We all need someone to look up to – someone who has achieved success in life and can show us the way. A role model can help us Set goals and achieve them. A role model is proof that it’s possible to achieve our dreams. They inspire us to become the best version of ourselves. We all need somebody to look up to – so I encourage everyone to find their role model today!

5. The three words that describe me best are:
Fun, Loving, and Determined.

6.  If you had some sound advice to give to anyone what would it be?
Find the people who are doing exactly what you want to do (and/or) find the people who have exactly what you want to have. Reach out to them and ask for help. Don't let your pride get in the way. Do the thing that scares you the most and "Just DO IT," because on the other side of that fear is your breakthrough.

7. What does your life look like five years from now?
I will have helped several people make money, save money, invest money and stack money. I will be living in my dream home, will have multiple investment properties, traveling the world and living my life unapologetically OUT LOUD!
