The Leadership Spotlight Shines On: Yvonne Grinnell


1. Where were you born and raised; current city; family hobbies; past business highlights.
I was born in Lionel Town, Clarendon, Jamaica, WI, and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I am a single mother of two children: a son, Charles, and my daughter, Cami Joy, who passed away on her 4th birthday. My hobbies are traveling, dancing, and walking on the beach. My past business highlights include notable positions at Drexel Burnham and Lambert, Prudential in their brokerage division, VP Premier Banker at Bank of America, and a Licensed Insurance Agent.

2.​ How have you grown or personally developed since joining PlanNet?
Since joining PlanNet, I have experienced significant personal growth and development. Through the guidance of the team's coaching, corporate training, and engaging in various thought-provoking books, I have evolved into a confident and effective leader. Actively participating in PlanNet's events and learning from top leaders, I have further enriched my leadership skills and expanded my mindset.

3​. What drives you​;​ what motivates you?
I am driven by the pursuit of relevance and motivated by the possibilities of what financial abundance brings. With a deep desire to create an empire larger than myself, I strive to fulfill my purpose in life, making a lasting impact. Recognizing that money serves as a means to achieve my ambitious projects, I remain focused on creating a life of purpose and abundance.

4. Who would you consider​ a​ role model and why?
I draw inspiration from the remarkable life of Harriet Tubman. Tubman's resilience, compassion, and problem-solving mindset serve as a guiding light for my own journey. Inspired by Tubman's ability to find solutions and empower others, I aim to emulate these qualities in my professional endeavors, leading with compassion and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

5. The three words that describe me​ best​ are​:  
Resilient, joyful, and industrious – these three words beautifully capture who I am. With tenacity, optimism, and a diligent work ethic, I navigate challenges, radiate positive energy, and achieve remarkable results. My ability to adapt, find joy in my work, and remain focused on productivity makes me a valuable asset in any endeavor.

6​.​ If you had​ some sound advice to give​ to anyone​ what would​‌ ​it be? 
Everyone should embrace their true potential and live a fulfilling life. 
Never Quit, Always Fight for What You Want:
By embodying a never-quit mindset, individuals can tap into their inherent strength and strive for greatness, even when the journey becomes difficult.
Embrace Your God-Given Birthright: Central to your belief is that every individual is deserving of the best that life has to offer. Recognize and embrace your God-given birthright to happiness, abundance, and fulfillment. By acknowledging your inherent worth and right to a fulfilling life, each individual can cultivate a mindset of abundance, attracting positive experiences and opportunities along their path.  

7. What does your life look like five years from now? 
My five-year goal is to attain the prestigious rank of Four-Star Director, showcasing my leadership and influence. Along with my professional achievements, I envision acquiring my beach house as a symbol of success and tranquility. Additionally, I am driven by a passion to establish a Girl's Home for Teenage Moms, providing support and empowerment. I see my son, Charles, completing his college education and running his own corporation while attaining financial independence and embracing a life of purpose and abundance. Through these milestones, I remain committed to inspiring others, making a lasting impact, and embracing a future filled with achievements and fulfillment.
