Meet New 20/20 Club Member Selina Sufraz-Patel!

PlanNet Marketing is pleased to welcome Selina Sufraz-Patel to the 20/20 Club! Selina is from Wimbledon, London, UK. She tells us, "I have been a dentist for 31 years and work three days as a busy general dentist and absolutely love the digital marketing side of this business. I have previously owned my own dental practices and also used to teach dentistry at a London University. I have three adult children and an immensely supportive husband. I love to cook, particularly baking, I love eating great food and wine, dancing to soul music, going to gigs, discovering new places to travel to, reading, gardening, visiting gardens and most of all meeting and helping people. 😀

"As my mother is from Trinidad and Tobago and my father from Mauritius, I had travelled to both those islands before the age of 11. I have had some hair-raising moments white water rafting on the Zambezi and also micro lighting over Victoria Falls. However, in 2018 I had the chance to do a charity trip to Cambodia where I provided much needed dental care to children in rural areas and experienced the wonderful people and sights of Cambodia. I renewed my wedding vows in Vegas and have stayed on a volcano in Hawaii – the islands are just beautiful. I am in love with the Caribbean (it is in my blood) and I am slowly ticking off all the islands. Last year I travelled to Antigua and St Lucia.

"I believe being consistent and duplicating the daily habits has helped. I am used to speaking to people as a dentist and seeing how I can help them and overcoming objections and this is no different, except no teeth involved! When you have a science background, you are taught to only carry out evidence based treatments and this has evidence in how the opportunity works and how the marketing works, and it is just a matter of explaining that to people and seeing how you can help them. I am enthusiastic and show passion and dogged determination and try and work on my business a little every day. I use systems for efficiency. I believe life is like a boomerang, you get what you give.

"In April 2021, I came down with a chronic gut condition. This led to hours and hours of seriously debilitating pain and at times I had to cancel my day of patients, and eventually after a year of tests and doctors not knowing what was wrong, it led to a severely restricted diet. I was limited on where I could go and had to cancel many trips, and in May of 2022 I finally got a diagnosis of SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth). Several times a week I could barely move or eat and drink and I researched and read up as much as I could about the condition and sought help, and finally in December 2022, just after Christmas, I have found that I am in remission and am beginning to eat and drink normally again. I had very low times where I was in immense pain and wanted to leave PlanNet, and with the support and leadership of Caroline Hamilton, I pushed through and am very grateful for her support and for introducing me to this opportunity (that I did not realise I either needed or wanted!)"
